Description

2–3 cups baking soda
Water
Food coloring (various colors)
Small toys or wrapped candies
Bowls
Spoons
Instructions
Place baking soda into separate bowls, one for each color.
Add food coloring and mix well.
Gradually stir in water until the mixture feels like damp sand.
Flatten some mixture in your palm and place a small toy or candy in the center.
Shape it into a ball to form the treasure rock.
Repeat with remaining mixture.
Allow the rocks to dry for 24 hours until hardened.
Hide them for a treasure hunt or drop them into vinegar for a fizzy reveal.
Notes
Wear gloves to avoid food coloring stains. Ensure treasures are age-appropriate. Try themed rocks like dinosaur eggs or pirate gems.
