Description
Soft, squishy, and soothing, this DIY bubble bath dough is fun to make and even more delightful to use. Customize with scents, colors, and sparkles for a spa-like bath experience.
Ingredients
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup liquid body wash or bubble bath (thick & sulfate-free preferred)
1 tbsp coconut oil or sweet almond oil
Optional: a few drops essential oils (lavender, eucalyptus, citrus)
Optional: food coloring or mica powder
Optional: skin-safe glitter or jojoba beads
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch and liquid body wash. Stir the mixture until it begins to come together into a dough-like consistency.
Add the coconut oil to the bowl. This will help to soften and moisturize the texture of the dough.
If you’re using them, mix in your chosen colorants, essential oils, and glitter. Stir until everything is evenly incorporated.
Knead the mixture by hand for a few minutes until it’s smooth, pliable, and moldable. If the dough is too sticky, gradually add more cornstarch. If it becomes too dry, add a little more body wash.
To use your DIY bubble bath dough, break off a small chunk and rub it under running water in the tub for a bubbly lather. Alternatively, you can roll the dough into fun shapes before bath time for a delightful bath experience.
Notes
Store unused dough in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks. Avoid excess moisture to prolong shelf life. Customize scents and colors for a fun twist!
