These fluffy, rich pancakes are every chocolate lover’s dream, loaded with cocoa, melty chocolate chips, and topped with a drizzle of gooey chocolate.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tbsp melted butter or oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the egg with milk, vanilla, and melted butter or oil.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook until done.
Serve warm with extra melted chocolate or your favorite toppings.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the batter to keep pancakes fluffy. Adjust chocolate level by adding more chips or a drizzle.
