Description

A quick, no-cook craft paint that dries raised and puffy. Mix white school glue with foam shaving cream, tint with food coloring, and paint away. Not edible—craft use only.

Ingredients

1/2 cup white school glue

1/2 cup foam shaving cream

Food coloring or liquid watercolors

Instructions

In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup white school glue and 1/2 cup foam shaving cream.

Stir gently until the mixture looks smooth, fluffy, and well combined.

Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor.

Stir again just until the color is evenly distributed (don’t overmix).

Repeat in separate bowls to create additional colors.

Use paintbrushes, cotton swabs, or craft sticks to apply the puffy paint to heavy paper or cardstock.

Let artwork dry completely on a flat surface; the paint will stay puffy and raised once dry.

Label finished pieces “Not edible” and supervise young children during use.

Notes

Tips & Serving Ideas:

Work in small batches so the mixture stays airy; if it deflates, add a touch more shaving cream and stir gently. Paint on heavy cardstock to support the puffy texture, and allow pieces to dry flat overnight. For extra sparkle, sprinkle fine glitter while the paint is wet. Keep this a craft-only recipe: supervise young children, avoid contact with eyes, and label creations “not edible.” Store any leftover paint in covered containers for a few hours, then refresh with a quick stir.
