Description

Homemade gel air fresheners are a fun and customizable DIY project that fills your home with natural fragrance while doubling as charming décor.


Ingredients

1 cup water (divided)

1 packet (0.25 oz) unflavored gelatin

1 tablespoon salt

15–20 drops essential oils of choice

Optional: food coloring

Optional: dried flowers or herbs

Small jars or heat-safe containers


Instructions

Boil ½ cup water in a small saucepan.

Add gelatin packet and stir until fully dissolved.

Pour in remaining ½ cup cold water and stir.

Mix in salt to help prevent mold.

Add 15–20 drops of essential oils and stir well.

Stir in food coloring if desired.

Pour mixture into small jars or containers.

Decorate with dried flowers or herbs.

Allow to cool and set at room temperature until firm.

Notes

Experiment with different essential oil blends like lavender for relaxation, citrus for freshness, or peppermint for energy. These gels also make excellent homemade gifts.
