Description

This 20-Minute Homemade Bread is soft on the inside with a golden crust—perfect for any meal. Made with pantry staples and no yeast, it’s the quickest way to enjoy fresh bread.

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup warm water

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Make a well in the center, pour in warm water and olive oil, and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 1 minute until smooth.

Shape into a round loaf, place on the baking sheet, and score the top with a sharp knife.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped underneath.

Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in herbs, cheese, or garlic. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze slices for later.
