Ingredients

Brown paper lunch bags

Dark brown and light brown construction paper

White paper for eyes

Black marker or crayon

Googly eyes (optional)

Red, green, yellow paint (for apple stamping)

Apple halves (used as stamps)

Green paper for leaves

Glue stick or white glue

Scissors

Clothespins or tape (for display)

Instructions

Take a brown paper lunch bag and keep it flat to form the hedgehog body.

Cut a rectangle of dark brown construction paper wider than the bag and trim zigzag spikes along the edges.

Glue the bag centered on the spiky rectangle.

Add eyes using white circles or googly eyes and draw or glue on a nose and smile.

Stamp apples using halved apples dipped in paint. Let dry, then add drawn details like seeds or worms.

Cut out the apple stamps and glue them to the bottom of the bag.

Cut and glue small green leaves around the apple or bag.

Use clothespins and string to display your finished hedgehogs.

Notes

Perfect for fall-themed lessons, animal studies, or seasonal decorations. Kids can personalize their hedgehogs with stickers, pom-poms, or glitter.
